These large unpolished Aquamarine stones work beautifully, combined with White Freshwater Cultured Keshi Pearls, all linked together by twisted silver bead connectors.
Keshi Pearls are the rarest baroque pearls and happen when the mollusc rejects the seed but continues to develop the pearl. They are elongated and extraordinarily lustrous.
The total length of the necklace is 48cm and it is finished with an 8mm 925 Sterling Silver magnetic ball clasp. This clasp can be changed to a bolt ring clasp if required.
The name “aquamarine” comes from the Latin for “ocean” and “water”, referring to its blue colour. Historically, aquamarine was said to calm seas and was worn by seafarers in the hope it would ward off the enchantments of sirens. It is said to help overcome fear of the unknown and to have a cleansing energy.
